Based off author Eugene St. Martin Jr.’s real-life experiences, this thought-provoking book introduces readers to main character, E. C., who ponders life during his encounters at church and while teaching and playing tennis. As he goes along his way, he shares his observations on his journey to figure about what is important in his life.

St. Martin Jr. takes a look at his life through the lens of a secretary recording observations, reflections, and ideas that life brings him. “Figuring Out Something by E. C.” explores ways to play the game of tennis and how the sport relates to everyday life while E. C. discusses the importance of getting in touch with the music inside and finding the song within himself.

Eugene St. Martin Jr. has been a part of the tennis community in Baton Rouge, LA by maintaining the green clay tennis courts and instructing both children and adults of all ages and abilities.
