Author Scott McCall’s Acclaimed Children’s Series Continues with Ted the Friendly Frog and the Race at Golden Lake
DALLAS (PRWEB) March 26, 2019 -- The second book in Scott McCall’s popular children’s series following the adventures of Ted the Friendly Frog and his friends releases today, March 26, 2019 (Brown Books Kids). Ted the Friendly Frog and the Race at Golden Lake tells the story of the swimming race at the annual frog meet, where Ted is determined to win first place! In the middle of the race, Ted notices a friend who needs help. He is faced with a decision: keep going for the win, or lend his friend a hand?
Former NFL offensive lineman Steve McKinney says, “Having played sports most of my life, I can relate to what Ted experiences in this book. Ted is a great character for readers to follow along with and learn important lessons they can use every day.”
Katie Jensen, former swimmer and conference record holder at Brigham Young University agrees, “Ted learns that within us, we have hidden strengths that are just as valuable as being first in the race. With rhyming and adorable characters, Ted the Friendly Frog and the Race at Golden Lake is a winner!”
Each of the books in the series conveys life lessons intertwined with fun, froggy stories. McCall’s latest book helps children realize that helping those they love is more important than winning first place, and means more than any trophy!
Ted fans can also look forward to the third book in the series with Ted the Friendly Frog and Santa Frog coming to bookstores this fall. As McCall continues writing the Ted series, which he began to help his young son with reading, he shares, “My life is about being a good father. Inside I have a strong desire to do good for my son in any way I can. I started writing because I saw he needed help in an area of his life. Now we get to see other children enjoy these stories as well.”
