Avid Collector Seeks vintage 1970 Jimi Hendrix Sicks’ Stadium, Seattle Washington Day-Glo Concert Poster
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) July 25, 2018 -- Avid concert poster collector, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, is seeking 1970 Jimi Hendrix Sicks’ Stadium, Seattle Washington Day-Glo concert posters. This was Hendrix’s second to last concert in America. The concert was held on July 26. According to Hawley, “Seattle was Hendrix’s hometown. His father and sister were backstage during his performance. Cactus, Cat Mother and the All Night Newsboys were the backup groups. He traveled to Hawaii for his last show in America before traveling to Europe. This is a classic boxing style concert poster. The 14 x 22 inch poster was printed on thick cardboard by the Washington Printing Company. The layout features as double photo of Hendrix in the center with a black background. The poster under a black light just explodes with color and looks three-dimensional. It is hard to believe we would lose one of the most influential electric guitarists in history less than two months after his Sicks’ show.
