Author and mother of five children, Avis Coleman is no stranger to the joys, trials and stresses that come with parenting. Often asked by her friends and family to write a guide on mothering, Coleman decided it was time to share her knowledge. In her new guide, “Manic Moms’ Survival Manual” (published by AuthorHouse), Coleman aims to assist mothers from all walks of life with the challenges parenting presents.

While many recognize that stress comes with mothering, many mothers don’t know how to avoid it. Coleman’s new guide shares tips she has learned “on the job.” She hopes to relieve or help mothers avoid altogether the stress of mothering.

“Manic Mom’s Survival Manual” primarily focuses on organization as the key to staying stress-free when mothering. With five children on her resume, Coleman personally attests to the powers of organization in her book.

Coleman hopes her book will help mothers be organized, avoid stress and enjoy their children.

An excerpt from “Manic Moms’ Survival Manual”:

“Staying on top of the things that needed to be done and maintaining a semblance of orderliness took away a lot of my stress. I never got much sleep and soon learned to survive on four to six hours of interrupted sleep. Unfortunately, ten years later, I still only get about six hours of sleep and wake up at the mere sound of a child turning over in his or her bed.”
