Texas trial attorney Wooten explains that the national award, given to fewer than 1 percent of all lawyers, represents the highest honors in trial law.

We are a personal injury law firm that has produced many big results for clients, and this award validates our commitment to helping clients achieve justice.

Personal injury lawyer Coby L. Wooten, a Fort Worth, TX attorney who has won significant verdicts and settlements for clients injured in truck wrecks and other serious accidents, was named a 2014 Litigator Award Winner.

Fewer than 1 percent of all lawyers receive the Litigator Award, which is based on actual verdict and settlement dollar achievements. Wooten is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a group which limits its membership to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.

According to LitigatorAwards.com, award contenders are considered only after being identified and exhaustively vetted by the Nominations Committee. “Those awarded are Super-Stars who have triumphed in winning Million, Multi-Million, or Billion Dollar cases,” according to LitigatorAwards.com.

“I am honored to receive the 2014 Litigator Award, the most coveted symbol of litigation achievement,” Wooten said. “We are a personal injury law firm that has produced many big results for clients, and this award validates our commitment to helping clients achieve justice. Performance is what really matters for people who have been injured or lost loved ones, and the Litigator Awards measure attorneys strictly on their success rates.”

To be eligible for the award, nominees must prove achievement of litigation “performance benchmarks” that include no fewer than:
1. Two verified “verdicts or settlements” of at least $1 million within the preceding five-year period prior to nomination, or
2. One verified “verdict or settlement” of at least $5 million within the preceding 10-year period prior to nomination, or
3. One verified “verdict or settlement” of at least $10 million in any one practice specialty category within the preceding 20-year period prior to nomination.

According to the Litigator Awards website, “It is a feat achieved by fewer than 1 percent of all lawyers, and truly a testament to each award recipient’s remarkable performance relative to peers.”
