Award-Winning Painter Linda Gross Brown Heads into Exciting 2020 with Multiple Exhibitions After Successful 2019 with Awards, Exhibitions and Government Recognition
Linda is off to an exciting spring 2020 with multiple exhibitions following a successful 2019 with "Footsteps #14" receiving the Gordan Coe Dick Memorial Award at the prestigious Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's Annual Open Juried Exhibition, numerous exhibitions, awards and recognition from the Ohio State House of Representatives.
ROCKY RIVER, Ohio, May 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After a strong start to 2019, Linda Gross Brown had a successful spring when her newest painting, "Sunrise, Hilton Head #1," was accepted into the Salmagundi 2019 Annual Members' Exhibition in New York City.
Following that, "Footsteps #5" was juried into the Hudson Valley Art Association's 86th Annual Juried Exhibition in Connecticut. Bringing spring to a close, "Footsteps #3" and "Footsteps #9" were accepted into the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's 2019 Annual Members Online Exhibition.
In June, Linda was honored with the title of "Fellow" by the American Artists Professional League. Later in the summer, one of Linda's more recent paintings, "Footsteps #14" was juried into the Allied Artists of America 106th Annual Exhibition.
October was a particularly strong month for Linda with four renowned organizations jurying her artwork into their exhibitions. Her newest painting, "Sunrise, Hilton Head #1," was again juried into an exhibition in October – the Degas Pastel Society 21st Membership Exhibition in New Orleans. "Footsteps #16" was selected for the Chicago Pastel Painters 7th Biennial National Open Juried Exhibition in November and December 2019. Two New York City exhibitions also selected Linda's paintings for inclusion. The American Artists Professional League selected "Footsteps #7" for its 91st Grand National Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in November, and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club selected "Footsteps #10" for its 123rd Annual Open Exhibition at the National Arts Club in January 2020. In November, the Ohio State of Representatives recognized Linda for her outstanding artistic accomplishments.
This spring has gotten off to a successful start as Linda's "Footsteps #14" was juried into the Academy Center for the Arts Annual National Juried Art Exhibition where it was awarded the Juror's Choice Award. Her painting, "Footsteps #3," has been accepted into the Salmagundi Club 2020 Annual Members' Exhibition. At the time of this release, she was informed that her painting, "Footsteps #16," has been juried into the 87th Annual Juried Exhibition of the Hudson Valley Art Association.
