Axium Expands Engineering Leadership Team
Portland, OR (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 -- Axium, a leading developer of integrated accounting and project management software for A/E firms, today announced the expansion of its engineering team with the addition of Peter Myers as Vice President of Development and the advancement of Jon Male into the role of Chief Technology Officer. The company recently issued a major new platform release with new dashboard and mobile capabilities and added staff to support its growing list of 2200+ clients of Ajera and the newly acquired ArchitTrek software. Adding leadership and expertise to the technology side of the business is a continued area of focus as Ajera adoption continues to accelerate among enterprise-scale A/E firms in the U.S.
Strong Technical Leadership
Myers was brought on to lead delivery of quality software releases to meet client needs and exceed performance expectations. As vice president of development, Myers will manage the Axium development, quality assurance and technical communications teams. Prior to Axium, Myers held multiple senior level positions at GE leading teams in delivering enterprise software solutions for the healthcare and real estate industries. Earlier in his career, he worked at Mentor Graphics and led the engineering team at Verdiem, a software startup focused on managing energy costs.
Jon Male recently took on the CTO role to lead the product direction at Axium. In this role, Male will develop the vision and roadmap for the Ajera product, directing technical decisions, scoping new features, and evaluating client feedback for integration in to future releases. Male joined Axium as an engineer in 1998 as the original Ajera developer bringing deep technical expertise in databases, system architecture, and .NET programming. Prior to Axium, Jon was a co-founder of PixelGraphics, a publisher of elementary education software.
"Continually building a strong technology team demonstrates to our existing and new clients that they are investing in a superior product that will only improve over time,” said Chris Heim, Axium CEO. “Jon’s legacy is a tremendous advantage as we continue to engineer Ajera for new targets and the addition of Pete is the right investment to guarantee a high quality product as the solution is put in the hands of more and more users in larger A/E firms.”
