This weekend program provides an opportunity to receive guidance and nurturing from specialists trained in the ancient healing science of Ayurveda in the form of body treatments, consultations and daily workshops.
Participants will have the opportunity to be involved in the activities of a classical yoga ashram: taking part in Satsang (silent meditation, chanting and lecture), yoga classes-Yoga asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing), healthy and delightful brunches and dinners, karma yoga, free time, nature walks, meditation twice daily, and of course, workshops on Ayurvedic Lifestyle & Routines.
Talks will be given on topics such as: Ayurvedic constitution, signs of imbalance and balancing therapies, proper Digestion Guidelines to healthy eating, Ayurvedic lifestyle, seasonal and daily routines.

Ayurvedic Consultation
Guests interested in receiving a consultation will find out about their personal constitution and learn the basic tools to keep to keep their body, mind and spirit in balance through diet, lifestyle and other tools for healthy living. The consultation will determine what kinds of activities and changes in their lifestyle can best help them restore balance. The consultation Includes detailed history intake, pulse and tongue analysis, diet and lifestyle evaluation. Ayurvedic Body Treatments
A beautifully relaxing and luxurious full body treatment. Includes Abhyanga, a herbal oil massage; followed by Shirodhara, a soothing, steady stream of herbal oil poured on to the forehead directly over the third eye, calming and purifying the mind. Last comes Swedhana, a full-body herbal steam treatment, which helps the oil and herbs penetrate the body, nourishing the skin and removing toxins. The course will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday with Satsang, and will end at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Weekend Tips:
It is recommended for guests to arrive by 4 p.m. on Friday making the most out of the afternoon by joining the ashram for their Asana class and delightful dinner.
Participants are encouraged to bring slip-on shoes, loose comfortable clothing, writing materials, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, a water bottle and flashlight. The recommended texts for the course are Ayurveda - Science of Self-healing by Dr. Vasant and The Ayurvedic Cookbook by Dr. Vasant Lad.
All interested are always welcome and encouraged to extend their stay to any length before or after the course.

Ambika (Jennifer Andrews) specializes in the ancient vedic healing sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga. She is the owner and founder of Ambikas Ayurveda.
