Arizona Pain Doctor Patrick Hogan Wins AOMA's President's Award
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) October 16, 2015 -- Patrick W. Hogan, D.O., co-founder of AZ Pain Doctors, was named as the recipient of the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) President’s Award in May at a luncheon in Arizona, for his outstanding service and contributions to the osteopathic medical profession in the state. The organization noted that his hard work particularly benefits the AOMA Board of Trustees, House of Delegates and Committees.
Dr. Hogan, an anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician, is dedicated to improving patients’ lives by offering comprehensive pain management care. “One of my passions is to try to reduce inappropriate opioid prescribing and drug diversion. The lectures that I was able to participate in through AOMA allowed me to reach a wide audience of Arizona physicians and advanced practice providers.”
He says he is humbled and thankful for the award. “I know that so many of my colleagues deserved it as well. I was very fortunate to have amazing mentors during my career, in medical school, residency, fellowship and here in the Phoenix-Metro community. The leadership of AOMA and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Board served as outstanding role models for me.”
A native of Moorhead, Minnesota, Dr. Hogan attended Concordia College in his hometown. After completing undergraduate studies, he attended medical school in Glendale, Arizona and then took an anesthesiology residency and an additional fellowship in pain medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation – one of the top ranked national hospitals – in Ohio.
He has been in practice for seven years and serves as President and CEO of the Arizona Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, which is an organization dedicated to preserving patients’ access to high-quality care while using an evidence-based approach.
