BackgroundCheck.us.org Relaunches To Help People Avoid Scam Artists
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 18, 2013 -- After a period of downtime, BackgroundCheck.us.org has been relaunched as an anti-scam search engine, the company said yesterday.
“We believe that there is a real need for a service that can help people protect themselves from scam artists,” a BackgroundCheck.us.org spokesman said. “We want to be that service and help people avoid ever becoming a victim of a scam.”
The company, which allows people to search government records in order to see if a given person has a history as a scam artist, was shut down during the summer do to technical problems, the BackgroundCheck.us.org spokesman said.
“We discovered major technical issues with our database that was making it hard for people to download our reports,” he said. “Since we didn't want to frustrate our customers, it seemed prudent to close down while our technicians tracked down the source of the problem and fixed it. Otherwise we would have looked like the ones trying to run a scam.”
BackgroundCheck.us.org has now extensively tested the patches to their database and IT architecture and concluded that their technical problems are a thing of the past, he said.
“If you meet someone in a business or social context and want to make sure they don't have a history of pulling scams, we can once again let you know the truth in a matter of minutes,” he said. “We are the anti-scam crusaders of the Internet.”
