“By working with Microsoft on its Skype for Business Server certification, we bring a new and viable option for MSPs that want to incorporate voice with fewer hassles and higher margins," said Steve Leonard, Chief Operating Officer, Bandwidth.
TORONTO, CANADA (PRWEB) July 11, 2016
Bandwidth, a communications API leader, today announced that its SIP Voice Services portfolio has been certified by Microsoft to power voice within its on-premises Skype for Business Server unified communications solution. The announcement was made as part of the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, taking place July 10-14 in Toronto, Canada.
Skype for Business enables connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) directly over SIP to provide flexible unified communication capability with reduced cost. As part of Microsoft’s roster of certified Skype for Business SIP trunking services, Bandwidth will help enterprises to connect their on-premises Skype for Business infrastructure to external PSTN network in a highly scalable way.
Bandwidth SIP Voice Services also makes it easy for MSPs to tap into a flexible, customizable SIP Voice solution and obtain maximum value from their UCaaS offerings, including:
- Fast time-to-market: Bandwidth’s solutions are frictionless and scalable for future growth, through real-time activations via its Portal or APIs. This leads to faster uptime for customers and speedier revenue realization.
- Flexible Portals and APIs: The solution is fast to install and configure, allowing MSPs to get customers up and running in a matter of days and start realizing revenue right away. MSPs can provision customer access to manage their users, or do it all themselves.
- Nationwide coverage: Bandwidth has more than 10,000 rate centers, with access to coverage across the country, including SMS, 9-1-1, DIDs and inbound & outbound calling.
- Bundled services: Bandwidth’s bundled services make it fast and easy to add SIP to a UCaaS offering, helping MSPs determine specifics regarding seats, trunks, minutes, SMS, 9-1-1 and more.
“We have built a portfolio of SIP Voice Services that power many popular business communications platforms,” said Steve Leonard, Chief Operating Officer at Bandwidth. “By working with Microsoft on its Skype for Business Server certification, we bring a new and viable option for MSPs that want to incorporate voice with fewer hassles and higher margins.”
