Barbara Pittman Steinkamp's Newly Released "The Little Blue Angel" is the Heartwarming Story of a Poor Little Girl, Her Guardian Angel, and a Christmas Miracle or Two
"The Little Blue Angel" from Christian Faith Publishing author Barbara Pittman Steinkamp is a beautiful story about little Sally, whose hardworking father can barely make enough money selling newspapers to give his family warm clothes, a hot meal, or a memorable Christmas--but as Sally falls in love with an angel doll in a shop window and prays to her guardian angel to help her father, the little blue angel appears, bringing a Christmas miracle--or two, or three--to town to answer Sally's prayers.
MEADVILLE, Pa., Sept.17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "The Little Blue Angel": a delightful Christmas tale. "The Little Blue Angel" is the creation of published author, Barbara Pittman Steinkamp, a retired medical records clerk from Pitkin, Louisiana; she is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who actively serves in her First Baptist Church and the senior center.
Steinkamp writes, "As Christmas time approached, Sally noticed all the bright decorations in the store windows and the beautiful toys in the shops. She noticed especially one lovely little doll in the toy store window. It was a little angel doll with golden hair and a shiny blue dress. Every time Sally passed the toy shop, the little doll seemed to beckon to her to stop and say hello. She would press her face against the cold glass and talk to the doll as if she understood her greeting.
'Oh, little blue angel,' she would say. 'I wish you were mine. We could have so much fun playing together, and I would dress you in your pretty blue dress and brush your shiny hair. But I guess you wouldn't like to live with me because your dress and hair are so much prettier than mine and our house is cold and bare. I guess you should belong to a pretty little girl who would take you to a nice warm house.'"
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Barbara Pittman Steinkamp's new book is an uplifting tale sure to become a family favorite around Christmastime.
Originally penned in 1963 as part of the annual Christmas Eve celebration at the author's home, the story of the little blue angel now reappears in print to delight a new generation of children who believe in miracles.
