New Book by Barbara Douglass Debates 26 Life Lessons
Toronto (PRWEB) August 13, 2014 -- Author Barbara Douglass’ new book, “Invisible Burqa” (published by Trafford Publishing), lifts the veil on 26 rules Douglass believes dictate the lives of many readers and details how one should approach these rules of life.
Each chapter title offers a statement or generalization about society. Some of Douglass’ titles include:
• You must always be as physically attractive as possible.
• You must have socially acceptable behavior.
• You must have a university education.
By carefully deconstructing these rules, Douglass highlights the implications of each rule on society and offers her own advice and viewpoints on the rules and what they imply.
“Invisible Burqa” challenges readers to live full, productive lives, not ones constricted by societal norms. Douglass hopes her book inspires thought and discussion among her readers, thus removing the invisible burqa.
“Too often we humans believe we do not have the right to decide our own paths in life,” Douglass says. “I believe we do!”
