NEW YORK, June 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Barrett Asset Management, LLC is pleased to announce that it has been named to the 2019 edition of the Financial Times (FT) 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers. The annual ranking—now in its sixth year—recognizes top independent RIA firms from across the U.S.
Peter Shriver, CFA, Chief Executive Officer, Barrett Asset Management, said, "It's an honor for our team to have been recognized again for its work in helping clients achieve their aims. We are proud to be highlighted alongside other leading firms."
Christina Bater, CFP®, Managing Director, Barrett Asset Management, said, "We are excited to have been included in the prestigious FT 300 again. While it is an important recognition we are all very proud of, we also look upon it as recognition of our clients, many of whom have been with us for decades and in some instances, sharing relationships with us that span generations. The work we are recognized for is done both with and for those we serve." Mr. Shriver added, "Putting clients first is engrained in the ethos of our firm. When we receive an honor like this, our first thoughts are in appreciation of our clients."
RIA firms that met a minimum set of criteria were then evaluated by the Financial Times on six factors: assets under management (AUM); AUM growth rate; years in existence; advanced industry credentials of the firm's advisors; online accessibility; and compliance records. There were no fees or other considerations required of RIAs that applied for inclusion in the FT 300 industry ranking.
