New BASIC Medical Clinic Opening in Newport Beach CA
Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- The Brain and Spine Institute of California, or BASIC, is proud to announce the opening of our latest Newport Beach medical clinic.
The new facility is located at 4631 Teller Ave. Suite 100. Newport Beach, CA. 92660, is led by nationally known neurosurgeon, Dr. G. “Ty” Thaiyananthan. Dr. Ty is the founder of the practice, and it is his vision that has led to increasing BASIC’s coverage of the southern California region.
“We aim to bring the very best of spinal and pain management medicine to the area, and we are thrilled by the opportunity to expand into Newport Beach. This will allow us to contact and treat patients that may otherwise be unable to tap our world class physicians and support staff,” says Dr. Ty. “Our mission is to increase the reach of our practice and treat pain in a diverse population of patients.”
The Newport Beach clinic will include the wide range of services that BASIC is known for in the region. The practice is best known for its group of spinal surgeons, headed by Dr. Ty, and including two other world renowned spinal surgeons.
Minimally invasive procedures are their specialty, and they can treat all conditions from disc herniation to spinal stenosis with limited surgical incisions.
However, part of the BASIC’s philosophy is to thoroughly exhaust all conservative measures first. To this end, we have on staff Dr. William Leach, an experienced and dedicated chiropractor, who works in close conjunction with the surgeons to treat back pain holistically. All of our surgeons and Dr. Leach will be available to see patients at the Newport Beach clinic, and they are excited about the opportunity to bring their healing arts to a larger group of southern Californians.
In addition to back pain treatment, BASIC is known for its dedication to pain conditions and their management. Fortunately, this service will also be a prominent part of the Newport Beach office.
One of our pain management physicians on staff, Dr. Navid Farahmand, says, “I am excited at the prospect of treating patients in yet another portion of the region. Pain control is often overlooked by other medical disciplines, and I want to help those who suffer chronic pain to overcome their challenges.”
The use of pain psychology is important to the professionals at the Brain and Spine Institute of California, and Dr. Pavan Mann will be on site to help patients work through the psychological aspects of their pain.
Patients who suffer from fibromyalgia, neuropathies, and other chronic pain conditions often experience depression and anxiety as a complication of chronic pain. Dr. Mann and Dr. Navid Farahmand work in close concert to treat pain on many fronts to affect the best opportunity for adequate pain management.
Both back pain and chronic pain conditions benefit from physical therapy treatments, and this practice will be well represented in our new office. From traditional physical therapy to massage and acupuncture, our clinic will focus on helping patients relieve pain by the most conservative means possible.
As with the other locations of BASIC, therapists will be on hand at Newport Beach to assist patients with therapeutic exercise, stretching, and strength training programs.
Finally, BASIC is on the cutting edge of technology, and bringing those practices conveniently to patients is part of our dedication to excellence. On-site at the new Newport Beach office will be a vast array of imaging technology that can assist the physicians in quick and accurate diagnosis of problems.
From simple x-rays of the spine to check for fractures to the real time imaging of fluoroscopy for safe pain injections, the equipment is state of the art and located within the facility. Patients will not need to visit an imaging center or hospital for these procedures, and pain conditions are treated quicker as a result.
The team at BASIC was hand-picked by Dr. Ty to ensure that the very best practitioners were available for the southern California region. In opening the new medical facility at Newport Beach, the practice hopes to bring its professional excellence to an under served area of the region.
Whether patients need relief from back pain or a solution to their chronic pain problem, BASIC can treat the condition with compassion and efficiency. Newport Beach is just one step on the practice’s journey to making quality neurological and pain care accessible to a wider group of patients.
