They are a true beacon of hope for local women who find themselves in desperate situations. And the courageous survivors they serve are deserving of our entire community’s assistance in rebuilding their lives in peace and safety.

Westshore Agency, a full-service insurance provider serving the greater Cleveland area, reveals another remarkable charity campaign in their effort to support local families with a robust community enrichment program. The latest initiative supports Genesis House Shelter of Lorain County on behalf of victims of domestic violence in need of help and healing. Donations are now being accepted at http://www.genesishouseshelter.org/donate-to-genesis-house/.

Genesis House provides a comprehensive range of family-focused services, enabling victims to gain the tools needed not only to survive, but to obtain physical and mental/emotional well-being by minimizing the trauma associated with family violence. Financial independence is a big part of the solution. Not only does 1 in 4 women become a victim of domestic abuse, but 99% of those cases involve financial dependence. This means that women stay in dangerous situations simply because they have nowhere to go and cannot afford to leave. Genesis House not only provides a safe harbor 24-hours a day, they encourage and assist women throughout their journey toward stable, fulfilling new lives.

“We couldn’t be prouder to support Genesis House,” said Greg Brawner, owner of Westshore Agency. “They are a true beacon of hope for local women who find themselves in desperate situations. And the courageous survivors they serve are deserving of our entire community’s assistance in rebuilding their lives in peace and safety.”

The dedicated team at Westshore Agency is working hard to promote the initiative for Genesis House through social media and an email outreach campaign. The cause has also been featured it in this month’s issue of the agency’s vibrant community magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in Bay Village and surrounding communities.
