S.A. Lawrence Debuts with ‘Bayler Daniels Trouble in the Glades’
DELAND, Fla. (PRWEB) January 12, 2016 -- Having written some short stories and a great deal of poetry, author S.A. Lawrence was encouraged by a friend to try writing a book. It takes a life of its own and gives birth to the publication of “Bayler Daniels Trouble in the Glades” (published by Xlibris).
Bayler Daniels is a hardworking man of ethics and sense of family. When an unusual discovery interrupted his peaceful life, his reluctant involvement soon puts his family at risk, and forces him into a position from which he cannot back away. He tries to juggle what he feels God expects of him and those close to him questioning his choices.
An excerpt from the book:
Bayler pulled his knife from its sheath and threw it so fast that the man never saw it coming. It caught his hand in motion and pinned it to the fender of the SUV. He screamed in pain as his revolver dropped to the ground, the knife buried to the hilt in his hand.
Tom swung around, saw the man’s hand pinned, and turned to the three other suspects on the ground. He walked over, handcuffed them, picked up the gun, and searched them for additional weapons. Then he walked over to the fourth man still writhing in pain.
“I guess I’ll just leave that there until an ambulance arrives so you don’t bleed to death.” Tom said, grinning. “Glad you’re not with them—you coulda got hurt.” He shook his head and laughed and cuffed the suspect’s free hand to the door handle of the SUV.
Written to draw readers into the lives of unforgettable characters, “Bayler Daniels Trouble in the Glades” also challenges them to know what is truly important. It offers family values within a struggle between right and wrong.
