Menlo Park, Ca (PRWEB) January 17, 2014
The human rights controversy looming over Sochi Olympics creates perfect timing for four lifelong Belarusian friends (Anna Makovchik, Yoga Shyp, Mikalai Skrobat & Vlad Kukharchuk) who make up the San Francisco based indie-pop-rock band Kiwi Time, to voice themselves about human rights and debut a new song live. On January 25, 2014 Kiwi Time will kick-off their ‘“Hero” Wanted’ human rights awareness campaign and perform their newly recorded song “Hero” live for the first time at Great American Music Hall (Tickets and Show Info : http://tickets.gamh.com/evinfo.php?eventid=382111 ).
“After growing up in Belarus as a kid and then moving to San Francisco, you gain a true appreciation for individual choice and beauty!” Vlad Kukharchuk, Drums, Kiwi Time
Granted Access Studios by Baynetwork recently signed Kiwi Time on to their label and has help nurture the band to produce their 5 new songs. The new music inspires people to be motivated and believe in opportunity. While all the 5 songs are written and performed by Kiwi Time, the band has been privileged to work with Dan Shea (Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Santana, Rob Thomas, Bono, Robin Thicke) and Scott Llamas to produce a stellar upbeat sound that exudes Eastern European gusto while transcending Belarus totalitarianism. The newly recorded songs were produced at Granted Access Studios, 25th Street Recording Studio Oakland (http://25thstreetrecording.com), Laughing Tiger Recording Studios San Rafael (http://www.laughingtiger.com) and Popsmear Studios (http://www.popsmearstudios.com). Vocal Coach was Kayla Gold (http://kaylagold.com) and Alex Starfire and Susan Chy helped the band with grammar for song lyrics.
“When we, Baynetwork, Inc., discovered Kiwi Time we were having fun sponsoring them for some creative / out-of-the-box marketing tactics. However, after getting to know the band and their talent, we decided we wanted to help take them all the way to the top!” – Yuriy Petushkov, CEO, Baynetwork, Inc.
