(PRWEB) November 18, 2013 -- While college football is heading into the last few weeks of its season, bowl predictions are becoming more and more real. The analysts have their opinions from week 1, even the pre season, of where teams will end up and why. But as the season pans out, those predictions change as there is upset after upset, every, single, Saturday. I can really only think of one or two weekends this season where there was not a shocking win or major upset. So now that there are only about two games left for each team, the predictions are becoming real.
Possible BCS Matchups:
BCS National Championship: FSU vs. Alabama. This one is pretty much set in stone. The only thing stopping either team now from not making the championship is themselves. Alabama still has to face SEC and in state rivals Auburn, who have been having a decent season. This is any team’s last chance to upset the champions and prevent them from yet another trip to the BCS National Championship game. The Seminoles still have in state rivals Florida on their schedule, and this always proves to be an exciting game. Although a lot has changed in a year, and the Gators are just not the same team, they did win this contest last year, giving FSU their second loss of the season. Orange Bowl: Clemson vs. Oregon. Because FSU will likely be heading to the national championship, someone has to take their spot in the Orange Bowl. If Clemson ends up with ten wins, it will most likely be them. The Tigers are currently 9-1, and with their only loss coming to FSU, they deserve a BCS berth. Oregon unfortunately lost their BCS championship game hopes when they lost to Stanford, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t BCS bowl worthy. The Ducks have only Oregon State left to face, and let’s face it; they are probably going to win. This possible Orange Bowl would be an awesome one, filled with two explosive offenses. Other than the BCS championship game, there might not be a better possible matchup.
The remaining BCS bowl games include that of the Sugar, Fiesta, and Rose Bowls. The Sugar bowl will most likely feature SEC team Auburn, against either Wisconsin or Fresno State. Auburn is second in the SEC to the mighty Alabama, and will either stay at second, or top the SEC West with a win against the Tide. Wisconsin is second in the Big Ten, only next to the undefeated Ohio State. To play Fresno State in the Sugar bowl, they would have to qualify on the basis of having a BCS higher ranking than UCF.
The Fiesta Bowl right now is predicted to be Baylor vs. UCF. Baylor is still amongst the undefeated, and ranked fifth in the BCS. This top team does have some questionable games ahead however, with contests against Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas lying ahead.
The last of the BCS bowls means a Stanford vs Ohio State matchup in the Rose Bowl. Both very deserving of this bowl, Stanford took down the Ducks and Ohio State will likely remain undefeated. At third and fourth place in the BCS rankings, this will be a very exciting game.
