Domestic violence is a true scourge in our community, and we should all feel an obligation to do whatever we can to help these women and children to heal and begin safe, healthy, independent lives.

ProVest Insurance Group has announced the latest beneficiary of their thriving community enrichment program which serves families of the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. The new campaign fundraises for SafeHaven of Tarrant County, which provides emergency shelter and a continuum of care to women and children fleeing domestic violence. Donations for this worthy cause may now be made here.

SafeHaven operates the largest and most comprehensive domestic violence shelters in Tarrant County, from which women and children fleeing the horrors of domestic violence may find an escape from the destructive cycle of abuse. Their mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change. In addition to providing a crisis hotline and 24-hour care at two emergency shelters, their holistic facilities provide a safety net of services and support to establish and sustain self-sufficiency, such as counseling, education, life skills and improved employment opportunities.

“Our team has volunteered at SafeHaven,” said Jay Adkins, owner of ProVest Insurance Group, “and we’ve seen first-hand the powerful difference this organization is making in victims’ lives. Domestic violence is a true scourge in our community, and we should all feel an obligation to do whatever we can to help these women and children to heal and begin safe, healthy, independent lives.”

The caring ProVest team has created a robust online social media network and email awareness campaign to promote the initiative for SafeHaven, and have also featured the cause prominently in their monthly community magazine. Our Hometown is a print and digital publication which is delivered to thousands of households in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. The current issue, as well as the magazine’s extensive archives, may be enjoyed at: http://www.provestinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_10.

In order to make it simple for everyone to pitch in and help victims of abuse, the agency itself has pledged to donate $10 for each and every recommendation they receive for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary.
