MENDOZA, Argentina, July 31, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Belatrix Software, a leading software development company, welcomed key executives from the Board of the Project Management Institute (PMI) to our headquarters in Mendoza, Argentina. Over the years PMI has worked to raise standards of project management across the world.
Randy Black, Chair of the PMI Board of Directors, described the visit as, "a wonderful, collaborative discussion. I look forward to a growing relationship between PMI and Belatrix". He, together with PMI Board members, LuAnn Piccard and Caterina La Tona, spoke with Belatrix's CEO and Co-founder, Luis Robbio, together with other executives, about the different methodologies and frameworks Belatrix implements in its projects.
In recent years there has been an increasing convergence between the more traditional principles of project management methods, and certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP), with Agile development. Indeed, PMI recommends organizations use the most appropriate methodology and tools for specific projects, rather than advocating for one specific approach.
For teams and organizations using these methods, they have had to work to reconcile the plan-focus of traditional project management methodologies with the more iterative approach of Agile. By finding this common ground, and best practices, it leads to improved governance and controls for Agile projects, thus providing the rigor that mission-critical software projects require. Today, Scrum and project management best practices work well together to help organizations achieve their objectives.
Belatrix Software has highly tuned Agile and Scrum development practices, which we also combine with the best practices of PMI according to the PMI project management PMBOK guide. For example, such best practices focus on risk management, scope management, and continuous improvement, among others.
"We were delighted to welcome the representatives of PMI to Belatrix, and share how we use different methodologies and frameworks with our clients" said Mónica Colombo, Director of the Knowledge & Growth Integration Area at Belatrix. "For many years we have used process methodologies as advocated by organizations such as PMI and the CMMI institute, to provide additional rigor to our Agile development practices. These provide our customers with the security and confidence of our capabilities with business-critical software engagements".
