Organic Olive Oil Producer Bellucci Premium Responds to a Festival in San Benito, California that Brings Awareness to Local Agriculture
Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 -- Bellucci Premium comments on an article that shares details of the first ever olive festival held in San Benito, a county in California.
According to The Olive Oil Times article published on September 23rd titled “First Olive Festival for San Benito,” the inaugural olive festival will be held in the agriculturally rich county of San Benito, which is located south of San Francisco. San Benito is famous for many of the top California ‘super-foods,’ including spinach and olive oil.
The festival will include tastings of the best olive oil from the region, including organic olive oil. The olive oil will also be paired with local fruits, wines, and other types of food from the county. Popular chef Don Landis will be giving a workshop on how to de-bitter olives.
“The festival mission is to bring awareness to the region’s world-class agriculture and artisans, with an emphasis on olive oil,” says the article. Festival Director Kathina Szeto says in the article that there is great history behind the olives and olive trees in the area, which were planted in the 1700s by Spanish missionaries. “Olive oil is fascinating in that it is used universally and is cross-cultural and multigenerational,” says Szeto.
Natalie Sexenian, marketing manager for Bellucci Premium, is excited to see that artisans and farmers are being celebrated in San Benito County. “At Bellucci Premium, we believe in the connection between the land and the people. That is why we take pride in our growers, who are dedicated to producing the best olives,” she says. “It is nice to see that San Benito County is also celebrating the history of their land and the people that work on it.”
Bellucci offers three different types of oil, including an organic option, with a mild peppery flavor and fruity undertones that will satisfy any palate. Bellucci Premium Toscano extra virgin olive oil uses olives that are grown on the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany, and maintained by 3rd and 4th generation farmers. The third type of oil Bellucci produces is the finest 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil, grown in many different regions of Italy.
