Bent Pixels and Epidemic Sound Put Royalty-Free Tracks at Creators’ Fingertips

Video software platform Bent Pixels and production music library Epidemic Sound have teamed up to offer video creators the easiest way to access royalty-free music for their projects. As part of the partnership, Bent Pixels has integrated Epidemic’s music library as an app in the Bent Pixels Partner Dashboard.

Video software platform Bent Pixels and production music library Epidemic Sound have teamed up to offer video creators the easiest way to access royalty-free music for their projects. As part of the partnership, Bent Pixels has integrated Epidemic’s music library as an app in the Bent Pixels Partner Dashboard. Now, multi-channel networks (MCNs) using the Bent Pixels platform, including DEFY Media's SMOSH Games Alliance, ONErpm, Bell Media, UTURN Entertainment, Pongalo Networks, Nordic Screens, 2btube, and GarageMonkey, can easily offer the music library to their creators should they choose to work with Epidemic Sound. The integration with the Bent Pixels platform simplifies the process of finding audio tracks for creators to use in their YouTube videos, without having to worry about copyright issues.

Epidemic Sound buys music directly from composers and makes the songs available in its library. Participating MCNs and their creators can then find the perfect track for a video by searching the library for a recording that fits a certain mood, tempo, or genre. “We are thrilled to be teaming up with Bent Pixels to empower YouTube creators and give them even greater access to original music that helps bring their videos to life,” said Benjamin Page, Head of Online Video Platforms at Epidemic Sound.

Because networks subscribed to Epidemic’s library are cleared in YouTube’s ContentID system, creators can safely monetize their videos without risk of copyright claims, blocked content, or lost ad revenue. In fact, all videos uploaded during an active subscription of Epidemic Sound will forever be cleared from claims. It was this approach, Bent Pixels Director of Networks Nick Mariano remarked, that made this partnership a natural fit. “Our creator community was repeatedly requesting a music library free of risk from ContentID claims. We are very excited to be working with the industry-leading music service to provide this for our partners.”

Epidemic Sound’s music library is now available to creators from participating MCNs through the app marketplace in the Bent Pixels Partner Dashboard. A creator simply signs into the partner dashboard, selects the Epidemic Sound audio library, and searches for the perfect track to complete his or her next video.
