BDR featured and introduced the film “Once a Cheerleader” for REEL Recovery on Monday, September 26th. The film was well received and is scheduled to be shown multiple times at the Los Angeles festival in late October. “Once a Cheerleader” is inspired by the true and far too common story of high school students falling into the despair of substance abuse and prostitution. We’re grateful to have been given the opportunity to show this important film to raise awareness of the dangers youth face and the ease in which drugs enter and destroy their lives.
