Best Western Naples Inn & Suites Celebrates 60th Anniversary

NAPLES, Fla., July 20, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This year, the Best Western Naples Inn & Suites, located at 2329 9th St N, celebrates its 60th year of hosting visitors at its unique tropical paradise in Naples, FL. The hotel originally opened in June of 1961. Last week, a celebration was held to commemorate its diamond anniversary and show gratitude to guests and its community. The hotel features 110 guest rooms and suites stretched over three buildings and four acres with two outdoor swimming pools and relaxing hot tubs. This Naples resort is unique among area hotels, nestled within lush, botanical gardens that feature sculpted Koi fishponds, striking water features, and whimsical sculptures.
The hotel's origins began with the Best Western franchise in 1961 with 80 rooms. The third building was built in 1982, consisting of 30 rooms that were rented as individual condos. Today, those units are rented through the hotel and are available for both short and long-term rentals. In December 2019, Naples Hotel Group was awarded the management contract from the new ownership group. The group's focus is to maintain the Best Western's individuality while making improvements.
One of those improvements includes occupying the restaurant space that sat empty for nearly a decade. The on-site 5,128 square foot restaurant was formerly occupied by Chardonnay, a local favorite French-themed restaurant. Today, it's occupied by Bellini Italian Restaurant & Bar, which moved from its location on 5th avenue in December 2020.
The tropical-themed hotel emblemizes Naples well featuring lush gardens, tropical ponds, and waterfalls. Management recently started a landscaping beautification project. Over the years, some of its luscious gardens had overgrown, with plants no longer thriving. The hotel has preserved existing plants and statues while adding new life to its gardens. Progress can be seen along the front landscape of the property that sits on US-41 and features the hotel's iconic elephant herd near its franchise sign.
The property sits less than a mile from Naples's iconic white sand beaches and three miles to the dining and shopping of 5th Avenue. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to Lowdermilk Beach & Park and bicycle rentals that can be purchased from an app on your smartphone.
The Best Western Naples Inn & Suites will continuing renting accommodations in downtown Naples for leisure and business travelers, offering a unique niche and slice of paradise. It looks forward to 60 more years of hosting guests in the beautiful city of Naples.
