Jania Bailey has been awarded the esteemed 2013 Lou Campanelli Award, presented annually by SCORE. The award recognizes outstanding leadership, volunteerism, vision and philanthropy in support of small business—familiar territory for Bailey, whose company is a leader in matching individuals with franchise opportunities.
Since joining FranNet in 2006 as President and COO, Bailey has demonstrated exceptional leadership supporting the growth of small businesses. In addition to establishing relationships with SCORE and SBA, Bailey has been a vocal advocate for education on the benefits of franchising. She sits on the Board of Directors for the International Franchise Association (IFA) and is an active mentor for new franchisees as a volunteer in the IFA FranShip program. She is also the author of the book, “Thriving – The Journey to Success in the Business World.”
“Jania Bailey has been a huge proponent of educating entrepreneurs about all the options available to them for achieving small business success,” said SCORE CEO Ken Yancey. “Like our SCORE mentors, she is dedicated to arming small businesses with the information, advice and experience they need to succeed.”
This is not the first time Bailey has been acknowledged on a national scale. For the past three years, she has led FranNet to be recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S. in its prestigious 500/5000 listings. She has also received numerous industry accolades, including the Bell Award for “Outstanding Volunteerism in the Workplace” and St. Matthews Business and Professional Women Organization “Woman of Achievement Award.”
“I’m honored to receive this year’s Lou Campanelli award,” said Bailey. “SCORE’s mission is very much aligned with FranNet’s, and I’m so thankful to be recognized by such an important resource for small businesses.”
Bailey will be recognized at the annual SCORE Awards Gala on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 in Dallas.
