MEADVILLE, Pa., Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "The Poet Gallery": a compelling collection of children's stories and poems. "The Poet Gallery" is the creation of published author Betty Jean Miller, a longtime poet from Las Vegas, Nevada, whose work has appeared on pillows and magnets and sometimes set to music.
Miller writes, "Once upon a time, there was this family that lived on a big farm. There was Papa Cactus, Mama Cactus, and little Junior Cactus. They grew cactuses all over the farm. They had one hundred acres of land. They couldn't grow anything else because the cactus wouldn't let them. Every time they would try to get out and cut down some cactus, they would get stuck real bad. Sometimes they would bleed. You see, the cactus was a mean bunch of stickers. They also had animals on their farm. They had cows, pigs, horses, goats, chickens, and two mean dogs. Sometimes they would get stuck in the cactus, trying to get one of the animals out.
Junior would always cry when told to go free one of the animals because he knew he would get cut very bad and bleed. So Junior learned to put on two sets of shirts and pants so he wouldn't get all scratched so bad.
Every day, Papa had to go cut down cactus and haul them off somewhere. You see, in the desert, you find a lot of cactuses, and that's where they lived—in the desert. How they got their name, no one will ever know but can imagine."
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Betty Jean Miller's new book is a thrilling work of free-spirited creativity that will inspire the young at heart.
As Miller offers word after colorful word, Christian readers of all ages will find themselves irresistibly immersed in the cheerful mayhem of childhood and the stirring depths of faith.
