“‘Term of Probation’ appeals to our need for a remedy and hope against the evil forces in the world,” Brooks says. “It also gives a solid resting place for older believers to value what they have to contribute and what lies ahead for them.”

Author Beverly Brooks gives spiritual warfare a contemporary setting in her new thriller, “Term of Probation: Book 2 of The Yashmea Trilogy” (published by WestBow Press), the second installment in her Yashmea Trilogy.

“Term of Probation” follows a modern day probation officer as she experiences an evil she can’t see. While a serial killer continues to strike a small community, the real battle is between angels and demons and has raged through centuries.

The book takes place in the fictional Midwestern town of Jeriston and revisits characters from “Breathe.” Readers once again join Yashmea and Luchar – characters representing the conflict between Jesus and the enemy – and meet Malachi, the probation officer caught up in dark forces as she moves forward with her quest to find the serial killer terrorizing Jeriston.

“‘Term of Probation’ appeals to our need for a remedy and hope against the evil forces in the world,” Brooks says. “It also gives a solid resting place for older believers to value what they have to contribute and what lies ahead for them.”
