Biblio.com is Accepting Applications for the 2019 Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar Scholarship
The largest independent rare book marketplace in the world is offering a full scholarship for the 2019 Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar.
ASHEVILLE, N.C., March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Biblio is now accepting applications for a full scholarship to the 2019 Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS).
The scholarship is open to any bookseller or book collector who wishes to expand their knowledge relating to the identification, handling, and valuation of rare and antiquarian books. The scholarship recipient will have the full cost of tuition, room, and board paid ($1,750), as well as a $250 donation made in their name to the literacy or education-based non-profit of their choice.
As the largest independently-owned used and rare book marketplace in the world, Biblio has been honored to offer a scholarship to the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar for more than ten years.
"CABS offers an illuminating experience for those who attend. If Biblio can help a new book collector to more confidently curate their collection or boost the abilities of a bookseller who craves more knowledge about rare books by offering a scholarship, we see it as an investment into the book trade," said Amber Shehan, Marketing Coordinator at Biblio. "We want to see the rare book trade continue to grow in its diversity and strength."
The 2013 scholarship winner, Malcolm Moncrief-Spittle of Renaissance Books in New Zealand, said "...a big part of the value of the CABS seminar is meeting the other attendees and faculty. I have been selling books online for 13 years, and found it refreshing to meet up with other people enthusiastic about the book trade and its future, whether they have been selling for many years longer than I have, or were just starting out."
The deadline for the articles is May 1, 2019. The rest of the details and instructions on entering the contest can be found here:
