BIDGP.com Partners with PGA Tour Players from Meister Sports Management to Launch New Concept in Apparel Sponsorships
Davenport, IA (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- BIDGP.com, a Davenport, IA sports marketing company, today announced it is selling a new kind of sponsorship on the apparel of PGA Tour golf professionals. BIDGP.com is offering shorter-term sponsorships at a significantly lower price point than traditional annual or multi-year sponsorships. Brian Kardell, president of BIDGP.com says, “This is a whole new paradigm in apparel sponsorships and it opens the door for small to mid-sized companies to affordably promote their brand by sponsoring a PGA Tour pro, at a single tournament if they wish, for a fraction of the cost of a traditional sponsorship.”
To kick-off sales of the new program BIDGP.com signed-on three well known and highly respected PGA Tour professionals; Jerry Kelly, Ted Potter, Jr. and Ken Duke, as charter BIDGP.com player partners. Barry Meister from Meister Sports Management of Deerfield, IL represents all three golfers. He says, “BIDGP.com has an exciting new approach to apparel sponsorship and we’re very pleased to partner with them on this new idea.”
Another piece of the partnership has BIDGP.com sponsoring up-and-coming golfer, Byron Smith. Byron is also a client of Meister Sports Management, and is currently ranked in the top-ten on the Web.com Tour. If he maintains his current Web.com ranking, Byron will be on the PGA Tour next season and could become another BIDGP.com player partner.
Sponsorships of BIDGP player partners are available for purchase through two BIDGP.com sales channels. The BIDGP.com Player Series is a direct purchase channel and the BIDGP.com Auction Series is an online auction purchase channel, similar to eBay.
The BIDGP.com Player Series is aimed at mid-sized and larger companies willing to sponsor a BIDGP.com player partner in at least four PGA Tour events. With an investment starting below thirty thousand dollars, inclusive of all four events, the Player Series is ideal for companies looking to affordably brand themselves across a geographic region.
The BIDGP.com Auction Series is an online auction where bidders compete to sponsor a BIDGP.com player partner for a single PGA Tour event. With bidding starting at three thousand dollars, the Auction Series is ideal for smaller local and regional companies looking to brand themselves at a single PGA Tour event.
Using both products, BIDGP.com sells sponsorships onto seven different shirt positions. Left and right chest, left and right collar, left and right sleeves and the yoke (below the collar on the back center of the shirt).
The first BIDGP.com sponsorships are expected to appear at the John Deere Classic in Silvis, IL during the week of July 7th, 2014. All three BIDGP.com player partners are expected to play there. Sponsorships are available now for all BIDGP.com player partners by contacting BIDGP.com directly. Auction Series bidding is expected to begin the weekend of June 21st and close on July 3rd for the John Deere Classic.
Sponsorships are also available through BIDGP.com for all PGA Tour events that BIDGP.com player partners participate in after the John Deere Classic through the rest of the 2013-2014 season, and into the 2014-2015 PGA Tour season.
Today, BIDGP.com launches a new kind of apparel sponsorship that creates opportunities for small to mid-sized businesses who haven’t traditionally thought about sponsorships. PGA Tour Pro Jerry Kelly agrees. According to Jerry, “BIDGP.com has the potential to change the fundamental way apparel sponsorships are marketed for PGA Tour players.”
