Individuals and small businesses are just a part of Big Data as big corporations. My little Big Data is the ideal fun to use Content Mgt. solution that individuals have been waiting for that is practical and affordable says Norman Kutemperor CEO, Scientel

While Big Data is growing at an astronomical rate at all businesses, it is also the case with SMB’s as well as consumers. Contrary to what many people think, individuals as well as SMB’s are just a part of Big Data as big corporations. The only thing that is different is the size of the data being generated while the proportions remain the same. As a result, individuals find it just as hard to manage their Big Data like all other businesses. In reality, it is harder for individuals and SMB’s than large corporations because large corporations have some sort of mechanism in place to collect and store at least part of it in some fashion. Therefore it is the individuals and SMBs that are left with no tools or systems to manage it because most all available solutions are too complicated and too expensive for these groups.
Generally speaking, Big Data is considered 80% unstructured (Content) data and 20% structured (Business) data. Contents make up everything that we receive day to day in digital form which is not generally business data. Therefore, most of the portfolio of most individuals would all be unstructured content such as pdf, word, excel, email, text, pictures, images, videos, etc. etc. These digital contents are inundating all computer systems and creating what is called ‘content chaos’ at all walks of life. It has become harder and harder to save and locate contents in time.
Corporations have much difficulty with it because today’s most common data base management system (DBMS) called Relational Database that manages most of all the data is based on SQL methodology. SQL is specifically designed for business data that is comprised of tables and rows. Content on the other hand does not follow these tabular forms and comes in many varieties, volumes, shapes and forms.
Scientel Information Technology started its research in Big Data long before others and they developed and released the Gensonix® NoSQL DB based on a NoSQL standard in the late 90’s. Scientel is the Big Data expert as they started in this field long before most other companies; Gensonix NoSQL DB, is the first NoSQL that came to the market. NoSQL DBs specializes in document stores which are designed to handle documents or digital contents of all varieties. However, due to its unique ability to support both structured tabular (business) data as well as unstructured document (content) data, Gensonix is a polymorphic data base which supports multi-modeling to accommodate both types of data equally and efficiently at the same time. As a result Scientel became known as ‘The Voice of Big Data’.
Gensonix is also one of the fastest and most efficient DBs with the smallest foot print. This makes it ideal for Gensonix to allow the development of modern applications that are content rich. Scientel released its Enterprise Content Management and search (ECMS)™ system in 2013. ECMS is aimed at the commercial marketplace and it incorporates most of the features necessary for Content Management in a commercial environment. Due to its unmatched overall capabilities, Scientel is able to package this system in small footprint hardware to address the Small Business marketplace as well as for individuals and managers at their home or at workplace. This system called “My little Big Data” is essentially the same system which minimizes administration head-aches and it comes fully configured to start operating on day one.
My little Big Data is an affordable Content Management system that removes the head ache of managing Big Data at personal levels at a surprisingly affordable cost. It comes in various configurations to be able to address the needs of most sophisticated users. The system easily plugs into an existing network and is easily found on most devices available on the network. Users can drag and drop their contents into My little Big Data and start searching with Meta-data key words or text that is part of the content for textual documents. Thus, it manages all digital data and allows quick search and removes the clutter from all individual user devices.
My little Big Data is ideal for individual and Small Business operations due to its amazing speed and simplicity of operation. It is truly the first and only such system that is practical and affordable for users at the individual level. The simplicity of the product makes it ideal as a home device. For corporate as well as individual users, data is doubling every three years to staggering levels. Today, we generate more data in a single day than what we generated between 1946 through 2000; i.e., the beginning of computing to the end of the last century. However, here is the alarming fact: More than 80% of data generated today is Unstructured Data; i.e. "contents" due to the onset of the modern technology era. This data is swamping PCs, tablets and devices from individual levels all the way to large enterprises. These unstructured content data arrives at higher velocity, variety, variability and volume than what we can imagine. While all business data is handled through conventional IT systems, today's general information and much of intelligence flows freely through unstructured, unmanaged contents, and is not tracked or automated. My little Big Data solves this problem at all levels and is a must for all desktops; individual or corporate.
Information is the new currency. Knowledge makes us competitive and smarter. And the future belongs to the smart. Therefore, today's best competitive strategy requires taking control of content before individuals and organizations get swamped by it.
About Scientel Information Technology, Inc.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc. is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company, operational since 1977. Scientel also designs/produces highly optimized high end servers, which can be bundled with its "GENSONIX® ENTERPRISE" DBMS software, as a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments. Scientel also customizes hardware and software for specific applications resulting in higher performance.
Scientel's specialty is advanced NoSQL DBMS design and applications/systems integration for advanced business processes. This includes applications for Big Data, commercial intranets, Supply Chain management, IT consulting, support, etc., along with “beyond mainframe-level” Large Data Warehouse Appliance hardware/systems.
GENSONIX® allows very user-friendly data manipulation capabilities found in standard, SQL-based, database management systems, but it goes beyond. It is truly an "ALL-in-One SQL" -- an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. However, it can handle heavy database loads by itself with the aid of the GENSONIX® NSQL©™ query/procedural language. GENSONIX® supports both telnet as well as http interfaces. GENSONIX® is capable of handling trillions of rows/transactions for billions of customers, which is a huge advantage in “truly Big Data” structured applications.
Business customers can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive. Scientific, government, and similar organizations can use these capabilities to efficiently process Big Data, instead of being swamped by it. And, Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search solutions can vastly simplify storage, access, and management of any kind of digitized data for any size organization.
