Gensonix Polymorphic DB Never Slow Technology Enhances Performance of Scientel ECMS Content Management System V1.2

Scientel is pioneering the use of “Never Slow” technology in the design, development, and implementation of ever more efficient DB systems, utilizing Gensonix NoSQL DB. Never Slow DB technology has been envisioned and incorporated by Scientel based on the absolute utilization of the polymorphic capabilities of Gensonix.

Polymorphism is the ability of an entity to behave like more than 1 of its counter parts given a set of circumstances or criteria; or, the provision of a single interface (a shared boundary across which separate components of a computer system exchange information) to entities of different types. In other words, in a polymorphic DB, you can use a relational approach when that is appropriate, hierarchical when that is, and so on. No one paradigm is fully implemented, but the DB uses enough of the features/capabilities needed to provide a reasonable solution to a problem.

Never Slow technology results from overall DB system efficiencies derived from 3 prime factors: (1) Efficiency of the data management software utilized by Gensonix; (2) Storing structured data in structured tables and unstructured data in document stores; and (3) Multi-modeling of data via utilization of more than 1 data model per data set within the same application and DB.

Efficiency can be derived from the absolute systematic management of data sets leaving no room for sloppiness and via rendering a straightforward design of the logic involved. This also includes balancing of the required buffers and structures at an optimal level while never over- or under-utilizing.

Storing standard data in structured tables requires the ability of supporting relational models within a NoSQL DB which is a very rare feature that has been available within the Gensonix NoSQL DB but absent from many other NoSQL DB’s. This also requires the availability of unstructured data stores such as document stores within the same DB for all forms of unstructured data – a feature that is at the same time absent from most all SQL databases. Simultaneous or concurrent utilization of this principle when utilized, unconditionally guarantees efficiency increase by several factors.

Multimodeling concepts when applied on top of this to different data stores adds even higher amounts of efficiency. For example, ideally speaking, Gensonix utilizes the relational model when storing data tables that feature a 1 to many relationships. But, when accommodating 1 to 1 relationships, Gensonix utilizes network modeling which eliminates indexes and duplication of key values.

Utilization of all the above technologies in 1 system not only promotes speeds unheard of in the SQL and standard NoSQL environments, it also delivers the Never Slow capability that is unmatched in the industry. This capability is derived within the confines of the hardware that is spec’d out for each application.

In view of constantly-increasing, evolving, and troublesome Big Data environments, customers today are having to deploy different types of databases for different types of applications.
