Bikers Raise $11,393 For Veterans Charities During Ray Price Capital City Bikefest
RALEIGH, N.C. (PRWEB) October 31, 2016 -- Last month's influx of motorcycle enthusiasts into downtown Raleigh for the 12th annual Ray Price Capital City Bikefest made a big impact for two important veterans organizations. Bikers donated $11,393 to the USO of North Carolina and U.S. Veteran’s Corps during Bikefest.
“Our biker friends came from all over and participated in all the fun to help raise money for the USO of North Carolina and the U.S. Veterans Corps,” said Mark Hendrix, general manager of Ray Price, Inc., and organizer of the Ray Price Capital City Bikefest.
Charitable donation opportunities during Capital City Bikefest included: the TattooFest, Patriot Ride, Parade of Lights, a silent auction as well as a photo platform and drop buckets on Fayetteville St.
This year’s TattooFest was the largest to date, thanks to Warlock’s Tattoos. The popular shop helped organize 16 tattoo artists representing one New York and seven North Carolina tattoo shops. Everyone agreed to donate one-half of all proceeds, and the result of Warlock’s efforts helped contribute $7,902 in donations to the Bikefest charities.
“Area bikers, tattoo artists and visitors to town stepped up big for charity during Bikefest weekend,” said Hendrix. “We all honor the legacy of our founder Ray Price when we embody his passion for philanthropy.”
