Bill Ward’s New Book Bestows .22-caliber Rifle Wisdom, Research
Jackson, Tenn. (PRWEB) March 20, 2014 -- Author Bill Ward shares his comprehensive review of 20 classic and vintage .22-caliber rifles in his new book, “Walnut and Steel: Vintage .22 Rifles” (published by AuthorHouse).
“It is the only book of its kind to cover a good variety of classic and vintage .22-caliber rifles, many of which are the most-used and best-loved rifles of all time,” Ward says.
“Walnut and Steel” goes into great detail on 20 different rifles from five prominent manufacturers, explaining the historical backgrounds, physical characteristics, design aspects and accuracy of each gun, among other features. He also details the pros and cons of each rifle and gives advice on how and where potential buyers should look for their own.
“In some cases, an individual may like to learn more about a rifle passed down from a relative, or they may be contemplating buying one of their own,” Ward says. “This book should help them make an informed decision.”
Ward goes into great detail on each weapon, including the actual firing-for-accuracy and suggested uses for each rifle, covering sights, scopes, ammunition and hunting.
