Bimbo® Bread, an important and growing brand of Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU), announced today the roll-out of its first youth soccer program in the U.S. under their new wellness platform Bimbo ‘B-Active’ - in several key markets including, Pennsylvania, Northern California, Southern California and the New York/New Jersey area.

Bimbo has well established connections with soccer through long-standing partnerships with both domestic and international clubs. Within the U.S., Bimbo Bakeries currently has partnerships with Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Philadelphia Union and is now expanding its soccer initiatives to reach families involved in youth soccer across America through the Bimbo B-Active program.
Anchoring this initiative in each of the four selected markets the Bimbo B-Active Cup, a competitive regional spring soccer tournament for both boy and girl teams of all ages, which will kick-off at the end of May and continue through June. Each Bimbo B-Active Cup will include on-site branding and a regeneration experiential zone where players will be able to recharge after matches with elements such as ice baths and Bimbo bread sandwiches.
Select winning teams at each tournament will also be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime experience with their local MLS clubs. The unique “day-in-the-life of a pro athlete” experience will provide youth players with a full-day of physical activity, interaction with MLS players, nutritional training by MLS professionals, a tour each stadium, and much more.
