Binc Launches "Binc Boost" to Offer Free Assistance to Jobseekers

With COVID-19 scuttling many companies’ hiring plans, we felt that now is the time for Binc to give back to the tech talent community. Binc’s employees are in a prime position to extend a helping hand to connect jobseekers to meaningful re-employment opportunities.

Binc today announced that it has redeployed a segment of its workforce to Binc Boost, a new pro bono initiative that leverages Binc’s resources to deliver job search support to those in the tech industry who were displaced by COVID-19.

“For nearly two decades, Binc has played a critical role in Silicon Valley and other tech hubs in the US, because we help rapidly-scaling companies flexibly hire talent to meet their growth goals,” remarked Boris Epstein, CEO and founder of Binc. “With COVID-19 scuttling many companies’ hiring plans, we felt that now is the time for Binc to give back to the tech talent community. Many people have been devastated by furloughs and workforce reductions, and frankly, we’ve had to make some difficult cuts of our own. But Binc’s employees are in a prime position to extend a helping hand to connect jobseekers to meaningful re-employment opportunities.”

The purpose of Binc Boost is to deliver maximum value to the broad swath of tech employees (Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, and Talent/People) adversely impacted by COVID-19. Binc Boost will offer free job search support services, including resume review, career strategy guidance, networking assistance, interview preparation, compensation advice, negotiating tips, connections to opportunities, sharing of resourcing, and more.

Marissa Smith, a Senior Recruiter and co-lead of Binc Boost explained, “While we’ve seen that tech hiring has slowed, we are still actively engaged with over 20 companies representing nearly 200 active and open job opportunities in the industry nationwide, and we have the expertise to connect job seekers with roles that are the best fit. We’ll also make introductions to the many companies with whom we’ve worked in the past."

"We are excited to leverage our Binc network for those who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19,” added Alexis Belyeu Munger, a Recruiting Manager and co-lead of Binc Boost. "We've set an ambitious goal to provide a ‘boost’ for 500 candidates including those impacted at our own company, make 200 introductions, and assist in the reemployment of as many individuals as possible. We are committed to making a difference.”

Binc Boost is structured to run through May 30, 2020 and will be re-evaluated at that time to measure its success and retool the program if needed. Interested parties should contact Binc Boost.
