Birmingham Maple Clinic Releases Study on CTFD Phenomenon
Birmingham, MI (PRWEB) August 15, 2013 -- Parental Counselors at the Birmingham Maple Clinic in Michigan have recently released an article regarding "CTFD", or "Calm the F@#$ down," a parental movement that is teaching parents to ignore the hype and have faith in their own parenting.
The CTFD concept was recently publicized by The Huffington Post and was created in reaction to the recent surge in books and online articles regarding "proper" parenting methods such as "Tiger Mom," "minimalist," and "no-punishment" parenting, thus confusing and worrying young parents that they are not raising their children the "right" way.
Carrie Krawiec, family and parental therapist at the Birmingham Maple Clinic says: "there are plenty of scholarly articles that support the need for parents to CTFD; parent anxiety is correlated with child anxiety, child depression, and conduct problems."
Birmingham Maple Clinic's parental counselors will be offering private sessions, workshops, and seminars for parents who feel they are overly neurotic about their children, and more information can be found at their website.
