Cincinnati-based technology company BlackbookHR released Presto, a mobile pulse survey tool, this week. The BlackbookHR team designed Presto, a web app teams and managers can use to gather real-time feedback, as part of its mission to rethink employee engagement.
“The way we work has changed. But the way we measure and understand employees hasn’t,” says BlackbookHR CEO Chris Powell, a former human resources executive at Scripps Networks Interactive. “In our real-time, mobile world, leaders need to check in with their teams frequently. Annual surveys and group emails aren’t a good way to do that. So we developed Presto to help teams share ideas and updates through quick pulse surveys.”
Presto is free for surveys with fewer than 50 recipients. Users can create surveys using four different question types:
- Multiple choice.
- Likert scale (strongly agree to strongly disagree).
- Open-ended response.
The BlackbookHR team designed Presto with a few specific use cases in mind, including:
- Sales managers who need to check in with their teams about sales targets and progress.
- Virtual teams who need an easy, fun way to stay in touch about projects.
- Leaders who want to gather quick feedback from a group without interrupting anyone’s day.
