The Blindsgalore National Scholarship, partnered with the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), is an essay contest held annually and is open to women who are maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA in a college or university. The scholarship is presented through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF), who have been assisting women achieve success through higher education since their inception in 1953. In 2015 alone, the SBMEF has awarded over $40,000 in scholarships to deserving women.

"Despite the many gains made since the inception of the feminist movement, role models can be hard to find and competition remains fierce for women pursuing professional degrees in business, STEM, law, and medicine. To have been selected for the Blindsgalore National Scholarship is a demonstration and reminder that I am indeed supported as I pursue my professional goals," said Katherine Bakke, the scholarship winner. "As I advance in my career in medicine and public health, I hope to model the generosity of the women who own and operate Blindsgalore, and help other women recognize their talent and potential as change-agents and leaders."

Blindsgalore is passionate about providing opportunities to young, female students and seeks to help offset the cost of higher education. Chelle Walters, CEO and owner of Blindsgalore, said, "As a women-owned company, we strive to encourage determined, professional women to be as successful as possible. Unfortunately, it's an often overlooked cause. We want to give them every opportunity to advance their education and their careers."
