Belmont, CA (PRWEB) November 04, 2013
This November 1st BlogHer, Inc., the premium cross-platform media network and publisher for women, launched the 8th rendition of National Blog Posting Month, the month-long celebration of blogging affectionately known across the Web as NaBloPoMo. NaBloPoMo challenges, guides and supports bloggers who commit to posting every day in November. This year BlogHer is partnering with WordPress.com to bring even more writing, photography, and videoblogging resources to help people achieve this lofty goal.
Created in 2006 by author and blogger Eden Kennedy and acquired by BlogHer, Inc. in 2011, NaBloPoMo has grown from a single month-long challenge to a year-round resource for bloggers who post daily in order to grow traffic to their blogs, sharpen their content skills, and build their confidence, with the BlogHer team (and blogging community) cheering them on. Each month, NaBloPoMo engages thousands of community members, with last year’s November NaBloPoMo reaching an audience of more than 1.5 million readers.
BlogHer and WordPress.com are joining forces to provide bloggers with more exposure, more diverse blogging prompts, and more ways to stay motivated and spark creativity. WordPress.com publishes a site of blogging resources and writing prompts, The Daily Post, which just introduced a new guide for blog challenges. NaBloPoMo is the inaugural featured event for November. WordPress.com will also highlight users who are excelling at the challenge, and both sites are working together to support the blogging community and align daily prompts.
With November being the anniversary month of NaBloPoMo, BlogHer is offering prizes throughout the month, including tablets and full passes to the 10th Anniversary BlogHer Annual Conference taking place July 24-26 in San Jose, CA.
