Blue Collar Brain Launches Initiative To Help Promote The Skilled Trades As Career Options
The demand for tradespeople has never been higher but many job seekers are not aware of the many career options available in the skilled trades.
MARLBORO, N.J., Oct. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Want a great life with no college debt? Why not consider a blue collar job!
Not everyone is meant to attend college. But where do you go to find out about the many options that exist in the skilled trades? Blue Collar Brain of course!
With more trade jobs available than there are workers to fill them, Blue Collar Brain launched their website to help those looking for new career opportunities find options as skilled tradespeople.
"High school students are often told the only way to succeed in life is to go to college, we want to change that perception," said Jill Caren, Blue Collar Brain co-founder. "Skilled trade careers offer great opportunities and without the expensive debt that comes with a college degree. Our goal is to change the idea that the only way to be successful in life is to get a 4-year degree and help skilled trade employers have more career candidates."
High school graduates and those looking to change careers can come to Blue Collar Brain to find career guides that profile different skilled trade careers including salaries, pros and cons, training or educational requirements and more. These career guides offer an in-depth look at the job that allows a candidate to see whether it may be a good fit for their skills and interests.
The database of articles offers resources for career planning, interviewing, trade school options and ways to pay for school.
Interviews with those working in a trade job in our Meet The Brains series can give potential workers a look at a specific career from someone who is in it and does it every day.
By 2028 it is expected that over 3 million skilled trade jobs will remain open. As part of Blue Collar Brain's mission, the hope is to bring awareness to high school students and career changers about the many opportunities that exists within the skilled trade industry so that the gaps that exist can be closed.
