Blue Water Announces the Launch of the New IAAPA Website

IAAPA, the Premier Association of the Global Attractions Industry Launches New Website.

Industry-leading global attractions association, IAAPA, launched its newly re-platformed and redesigned website this month. Conceived and developed by experience agency Blue Water, powered by Acquia, and built with Drupal 8, the new website delivers on the goal set by the association: Bring to life the IAAPA of today that’s ready to support the IAAPA of tomorrow.

To help the association achieve their goal, the Blue Water team worked directly with IAAPA staff and their stakeholders to understand the shortcomings of their legacy site and to define the experience that would deliver the highest value in the future. Through research, Blue Water found that current and prospective IAAPA members had difficulty finding the most critical information to them, and when they found it, it was often outdated. Additionally, the site wasn’t mobile friendly making it difficult for site users to make use of their IAAPA benefits on-the-go. It was also clear that the website did not reflect the global leadership position that IAAPA holds.

To overcome these challenges and create a more useful experience, Blue Water worked closely with IAAPA to develop a new site architecture designed to facilitate an experience that not only better markets IAAPA’s products and services, but frames IAAPA as a trusted expert in the industry. These changes were punctuated by updated branding that brought the site to life through a visual design that is clean and fresh, and evokes a sense of fun that is the foundation of the attractions industry while at the same time infusing a sense of professionalism.
