Boca Bearing Company expands stainless steel line of products
The Boca Bearing Company is proud to announce the further expansion of their line of Stainless Steel Bearings
BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Boca Bearing Company is proud to announce the further expansion of their line of Stainless Steel Bearings, as well as the introduction to a new type of stainless steel bearing for the fishing reel market. New stainless offerings include radial bearings, mounted units, insert bearing, one way bearings, needle bearings, angular contact bearings, machine tool spindle bearings, thrust bearings, and stainless steel balls.
Stainless Steel 440C Series radial bearings contain a martensitic-type stainless steel used extensively in bearing applications that require hardness, dimensional stability, corrosion resistance and toughness. Stainless steel 440C is resistant to corrosion from fresh water, steam, crude oil, gasoline, perspiration, alcohol, blood and food stuffs. Stainless Steel does contain some carbon so it is still slightly magnetic and may eventually rust.
In addition to 440C stainless steel bearing, Boca Bearing Company is also offering 302, 304, and 316 stainless steel balls. All three options are much more resistant to corrosion than even the 440c. 302 stainless also has the added benefit of being completely non-magnetic. 316 stainless steel is used extensively in medical and surgical equipment, as well as in saltwater environments.
Stainless steel mounted unit bearings are designed to meet all of the most demanding operating environments such as the medical, food, beverage or chemical industry. Stainless steel is ideally suited for applications that require frequent wash downs, operate near food or liquid contaminants and have a high exposure to harsh chemicals or humidity.
Later this year, Boca Bearing Company will release a brand new line of bearings for the fishing reel industry. The new Boca Saltwater Series Ceramic Hybrid Fishing Reel Bearings are made with a special stainless steel, include Si3N4 ceramic balls, and are ABEC 7 rated. These bearings have been independently lab tested to survives in saltwater environments two to three times longer than traditional 440C stainless steel bearings. Some sizes are currently available now, but the full line will be available later this year.
