The Second Largest Fashion Event in the U.S. Will Take Place in South Florida From May 29 to June 2.

Miami Fashion Week® (MIAFW), the second largest fashion event in the U.S., is returning to Miami, Florida on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 through Sunday, June 2, 2019. MIAFW will feature furniture from BoConcept, a global retailer specializing in luxury urban-chic furniture that is at once expressive and sophisticated, throughout the event’s VIP Lounge, main lobby, outdoors and more.

"There are perfect synergies between BoConcept's stylish and functional furniture and Miami Fashion Week,” said BoConcept Director of Marketing Steen Knigge. “We are passionate about impeccable design, and our customers are passionate about sleek and modern furniture options both at home and while enjoying the latest star-studded runway show. We are an ideal match, and we look forward to creating spaces that evoke invaluable conversations and encourage the sharing of ideas during Miami Fashion Week."

BoConcept’s presence throughout MIAFW will be ubiquitous in its sophistication and comfort, intelligent designs as iconic as art pieces themselves. In the outdoor lounge, minimal-design grey Rome sofas, urban and light Elba chairs and matching coffee tables leverage the beauty of nature with functional design. In the VIP Lounge, Boconcept’s grey felt and camel leather Carmo sofas alongside innovative Ottawa modules and sleek Chiva coffee tables inspire with the unexpected. BoConcept mixes warm brown tones with brass accents in the reception area in gracefully elegant Imola armchairs and Valencia side tables. MIAFW’s expert panels will engage in insightful discussion regarding sustainability, ethics and new technologies as panelists perch upon uniquely organic velvet orange Ottawa chairs.

“As a locally owned franchise with two locations in the Miami area, we feel strongly about getting involved in our community in which we live and work,” BoConcept Regional Manager Kaare Knudtoft said. “It is very important for us to participate in key events happening in Miami, especially when they are as internationally popular as MIAFW. It gives our staff and clients something to be proud of both globally and in our own backyard.”

This year’s MIAFW features the 2020 Resort Collections of established and up-and-coming international designers. MIAFW plays an integral role in the fashion industry as the first international platform for the resort season while attracting an audience of A-list celebrities, global influencers and fashion leaders. Led by honorary president and well-known actor Antonio Banderas, the fourth annual event features runway shows, after parties, exclusive pop-up events and a charity gala benefiting Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation and Mr. Banderas’s Fundación Lágrimas y Favores.

The MIAFW 2019 guest country is the Dominican Republic and will host an exclusive runway show with acclaimed designers Giannina Azar, Jenny Polanco, Arcadio Díaz, Jacqueline Then and Monica Varela. Other well-known designers featuring their 2020 collections include Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, RR by Rene, Fernando Alberto Atelier, Daniella Batlle, Glory Ang, Vero Diaz, Herminas Reea.
