LOS ANGELES, Dec. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- James MacPherson,a celebrity bodyguard in Hollywood, recently appeared in "Hold On," a Tarek Tohme film released just last week. The story is based on the true story of five-octave singer Micayla DeEtte.
The film was directed by first-time feature director Tarek Tohme who recently graduated from USC. Tohme stated, "I was honored to have James be a part of the 'Hold On' team and journey." MacPherson, we hope for many more opportunities to collaborate in the near future". MacPherson who was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts has been a working actor in the "Hollywood" for many years. Before his few scenes in "Hold On", he had parts in numerous television shows such as The Young and The Restless, Days of Our Lives, Dexter, CSI, and starred in a national Superbowl commercial.
The executive producer for "Hold On" was Ozzie Areu, the former President of Tyler Perry's studio in southwest Atlanta. After "paying his dues", Macpherson was excited to finally get his shot in a nationally distributed film.

"Hold On" celebrity actors include Luis Guzmán (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Traffic), Rapper Flavor Fav, and Emmy Award winning, Maurice Bernard (General Hospital).
"MacPherson, grew up in Wilmington, Massachusetts and attended Wilmington High School where excelled in sports. He won the high school wrestling championship three out of four years, a feat that contributed to his selection as a bodyguard to the stars. Among some of the celebrities he has protected in the past were Rihanna, the Milken Events in which MacPherson guarded Dr. Oz, Quincy Jones, Steve Wynn, a Former USA President. Other non-profit events he worked were; Jewish American Friends of Magen for providing ambulatory medical services fundraiser he also guarded Diana Ross, at the Parker Cancer Foundation event he guarded Lady Gaga."
Prior to moving to California in Boston a friend suggested in taking an acting class in which he did. He enrolled at the Waist Barron Acting School. .
