Bonnie Tweedy’s New Series Teaches Stages of Grief Process
Lodi, Calif. (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- The first book in a trilogy, “Grandma Bonnie's Cats: A Happy Place” (published by AuthorHouse) is a new illustrated children’s book from author Bonnie Tweedy – the eponymous “Grandma Bonnie.”
“Grandma Bonnie’s Cats” is about how life travels down a certain path only to come up against challenges or even trauma without seeing it come. This first book is about denial, the initial stage in the grief and loss process.
An excerpt from the dedication of “Grandma Bonnie's Cats”:
“Every Day Grandma Bonnie and Papa Roy would sit out on the patio and talk to the all the cats. Every day, Grandma Bonnie would sing to them. Tiger loved Papa Roy and he would sit on his lap and put his paws around him, giving Papa Roy a big hug.”
This first book, “A Happy Place,” is about being happy. Following books include “A Sad Time,” about losing a loved one, and “In Love Again,” is about acceptance, resolution and finding the courage to move on and try again after a loss.
