Book Follows the Story of a Young Girl Who Builds Her Dog a New Chariot
Diana Duncan announces the release of 'Nelson's New Chariot'
HONG KONG, Aug. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Diana Duncan enjoys writing rhyme. She wanted to write an amusing story about a young girl who goes about building her dog a chariot made from all sorts of materials she finds around her house. This concept led her to write "Nelson's New Chariot" (published by Partridge Singapore).
Abbie has a large Labrador dog who has grown so fat that his hips are damaged. Abbie overhears her mother saying that they cannot afford an operation for Nelson, but maybe he would be ok with just three legs. Abbie is shocked and decides to build Nelson a chariot with bits and pieces she finds around the house and out in the back yard.
"Kids spend too much time on social media nowadays. This is an engaging story about a girl who gets out there into the real world and sends time creating something basic but worthwhile," It is also about how animals can teach us lessons about life and love and bring out the best in us," Duncan says.
When asked what she wants readers to take away from her writing, Duncan replies, "enjoyment, laughter, empathy and an appreciation of rhyme and rhythm." For more details about the book, please visit https://www.amazon.com/Nelsons-New-Chariot-Diana-Duncan/dp/1543746799
