Boopsie Launches Mobile Apps for Corporate Libraries Offering and Hires Pharma Library Executive
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) December 06, 2013 -- Boopsie, Inc., the leading mobile platform for libraries worldwide, announced today the expansion of their team to include Christopher Mundy as Director of Business Development, Corporate & BioPharma Libraries. Christopher will lead all business development efforts delivering mobile apps for corporate libraries.
“Christopher’s hands-on experience building digital libraries in the Pharma industry gives us tremendous insight into the needs of Corporate & BioPharma Libraries,” states Tony Medrano, CEO. “The rapid growth of companies utilizing a BYOD policy and the need for companies to increase the efficiency of their research and development teams make 2014 the ideal time for Boopsie to help corporate libraries go mobile.”
Christopher joins Boopsie with a wealth of experience in knowledge management & market research from a wide range of companies. At Amylin Pharmaceuticals, he managed the information resource portfolio for the company and led information gap analyses enabling the company to make the most-informed decisions possible. Prior to Amylin, Christopher worked in various analyst roles with the China Business Group, a consulting firm that developed go-to-market strategies for Fortune 500 companies and NexusCare, a healthcare IT company that developed electronic medical records software.
“I know this is an incredible opportunity to join a team that shares the same passion for libraries and information services that I do,” Christopher said. “Their platform solves two of the biggest challenges corporate librarians face today -- surfacing only the most relevant content for unique audiences in their organizations while enabling librarians to understand information consumption at the user-level. As library budgets are scrutinized more each year, corporate librarians need the tools for efficient mobile discovery that Boopsie’s offerings provide to ensure they have the most cost-effective mobile information strategy for their organizations.”
“The rapid growth of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, make multi-platform native apps for corporate libraries even more critical,” states Medrano. “American’s spend over 2 hours a day in apps on their mobile devices, and only 31 minutes on mobile browsers. It’s clear that having a mobile website is no longer good enough for corporate libraries that want to provide the most efficient methods of discovery for their users.”
