Boss Lady Opens New Biz Concept for Women
Portland entrepreneur launches new business concept to benefit women called Moondays.
PORTLAND, Ore., June 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Although women's events take place daily, they are scattered across the metro area, with no physical place to house them together under one roof. Inspired by the Red Tent movement, our mission is to nurture and fuel women's empowerment by establishing a special gathering place for women -- the first of its kind to open in Portland, Ore. -- with the goal to expand and scale worldwide. Available for visitors, members or private parties, Moondays offers a healthy cafe, affordable spa-like services, a boutique, workshops, events and entertainment. Introductory memberships and rewards are available at significant discount until July 10, 2019.
Proprietor Susan Landa is celebrating 30 years with her gem and mineral store, The Fossil Cartel in downtown Portland, and is now launching a brand new business concept to benefit women called Moondays. She will be hosting a free party on June 29, 7:00pm-11:00pm at Mother's Velvet Lounge, open to all women interested in supporting Moondays' mission.
Moondays is a force fostering feminine power:
- A place to feel nourished with good food, relaxed with a massage, inspired by a workshop, enlightened by a tarot or astrology reading, connected through a women's circle, awed by talented performers.
- A lush haven to frequent with a calendar of various events.
- A place to be seen for your authentic self without judgment.
- A place that celebrates womanhood and amplifies the divine feminine.
- A place to go ANYTIME, not just during your menses.
Many people are currently looking for more meaningful experiences rather than more stuff. Women are craving sisterhood, needing places to connect and have purposeful activities to engage in together. As a child of the '60s, Ms. Landa has been deeply disappointed in what little progress women have made. "I feel so fortunate to be in business for so many years, I'd like to take my experience and knowledge and use it to help women."

Ms. Landa has been on the forefront of trends with her crystal store The Fossil Cartel opening in 1989, and her bead store, Let It Bead in 1997. Ms. Landa is currently looking for a location in Portland's east side and plans to open by December.
