Serious Buyer Announces His Search for Vintage 1964 Bob Dylan Ann Arbor High School Folk Concert Poster
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) February 28, 2015 -- Serious Buyer, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for vintage 1964 Bob Dylan Ann Arbor School Folk concert posters. Dylan sang acoustic folk music and would stand alone on the stage and play his guitar and harmonica. The concert was held on September 19, 1964. According to Hawley, “This was Dylan’s second concert in Ann Arbor. He played in 1962 at the University of Michigan. The 1962 concert poster actually misspelled Dylan's name. It was spelled as ‘Dillon’. By 1964, Dylan was famous and led the folk music movement in America. The Ann Arbor High School audience was in for a treat. He played ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ which had not been released yet.” To view examples of Dylan’s early boxing style concert posters, please go to http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/boxing_style/bob_dylan.html.
Hawley adds, “The poster used to advertise the 1964 concert features a promo photo that was used on many Dylan concert posters early in his career. The poster was printed on cardboard stock and was hung throughout the Ann Arbor area to advertise the upcoming show. The poster states that checks for the concert should be made out to the Ann Arbor Folk and Jazz Society. It gives an address to send in for tickets or ticket buyers could pick them up at the Disc Shop Discount Records. The poster has sparse graphics and only gives basic concert information.”
Hawley will pay $5,000 for original Bob Dylan 1964 Ann Arbor High School concert posters or any other vintage Dylan 1962-1966 concert posters. If you happen to have one, please call 310-346-1965 or email Hawley at andrew at vintageconcertposterbuyer.com. Any condition accepted.
